Stoney Forensic, Inc. is an applied research and development company. We have specialized expertise in analyzing microscopic particles in or on something to answer questions such as:

- Where was it made?
- Where has it been?
- What was it used for?
Examples of the type of work we perform include:
- Answering questions about where counterfeit or suspect Commercial Products are being manufactured, assembled, and packaged and determining distribution channels
- Determining from Controlled Items and Substances where they were produced or assembled, who was working there, and who supplied the materials
- Developing New Processes for rapid confirmation of the country of origin and transport history for imported Commercial Products and Plant and Animal Products
- Investigating People by examining clothing or personal effects to determine where the individuals have been and their prior activities
- Developing processes to determine species and sub-species of the materials found in processed Plant and Animal Products such as herbal remedies and food supplements
Much of our work involves analyses or investigations at a level that cannot be done by other organizations or individuals because it requires the unique combination of scientific expertise, specialized experience, and reference collections we have assembled.
In some cases we conduct analyses. In other cases we develop a process that can be transferred to our customers, enabling them to conduct analyses that could not be accomplished using previously existing methods.
